Bring Your Own Server
Run your Deployzy projects and databases on your own VPS.
BYOC (bring your own cloud) lets you attach your own Linux server to your Deployzy account. Projects and databases you place on it run on your hardware, while Deployzy handles builds, routing, TLS, logs, and the dashboard.
BYOC servers are available on paid plans — see Pricing.
Requirements
- A VPS running Ubuntu 22.04+ or Debian 12+
- Root (or sudo) SSH access with a password
- A public IP address
1. Add the server
In the dashboard, open Servers → Add Server and enter:
| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| Label | hetzner-1 |
| Host | 203.0.113.10 |
| Port | 22 |
| SSH user | root |
| Password | your server's SSH password |
2. Install Docker
If Docker isn't already installed, click Install Docker on the server card. Deployzy installs and configures it over SSH; a Docker badge appears on the card when it's done.
3. Deploy to it
When you create a project, pick your server in the Region picker — it's
listed as *"(your server)"*. Its traffic is still served from your *.deployzy.app subdomain (or
your custom domain) with automatic HTTPS.
Removing a server
Move or delete the projects on it first, then remove it from Servers. Deployzy stops connecting to it; nothing else on the machine is touched.
